About Vinyl Tap

Vinyl Tap is an independent record shop on John William Street in Huddersfield, dealing in new, used and collectable vinyl and CDs, with more than 120,000 items listed online. The business dates back to the mid-1980s, when owner Tony was selling records from a market stall. It ran a shop in Leeds in the 1990s and opened the Huddersfield shop in 2011. Mail order is a big part of what it does, and the team still travels to record fairs, as far as the Netherlands. Vinyl Tap buys records and collections, reports sales to the Official Charts, takes part in Record Store Day, stocks Dinked editions and hosts in-store signings.
