Flashback Records is a small group of three independent record shops in London: Islington, Shoreditch and Crouch End. It started in 1997 with the Islington shop on Essex Road, where the ground floor has new vinyl, CDs and DVDs and the basement is given over to second-hand and collectors' vinyl. Crouch End followed in 2006, taking over from Listen Records, and moved to larger premises on Topsfield Parade in 2021. Shoreditch opened in 2014 at the top of Brick Lane, with a soul, jazz and reggae basement and regular in-store gigs. Flashback buys records as well as selling them, so there's a steady turnover of used stock next to the new releases.
