Assai Records

About Assai Records

Assai Records is a Scottish group of independent record shops, with branches in Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. It grew out of HTS Scotland, the online music business Keith Ingram set up in 2004. The first Assai shop opened in Broughty Ferry in 2015 and moved to Union Street in Dundee city centre in 2019, with Edinburgh following in 2017. Assai is best known for its own Assai Obi Editions, many of them signed colour vinyl exclusives, and for a busy run of in-stores and bigger outstore gigs. It keeps a Scottish section front and centre and runs its own label, Assai Recordings. Search Assai's stock alongside the other independent shops on soundsfound, and when you find the copy you want, the link takes you straight to assai.co.uk to buy.
